Community Outreach Sailing
An integral part of Sail Cape Cod’s mission is to provide recreational & therapeutic boating opportunities for those who may not otherwise be able to enjoy on-the-water experiences. Our Community Outreach programs are based on a collaborative effort between Sail Cape Cod and relevant non-profit organizations, area schools, local government, and the business community.
One group we focus on is underprivileged and at-risk youth, utilizing the sport of sailing to develop academic, leadership and life skills. We also provide adaptive programs to physically, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals that are recreational, educational and therapeutic in nature.
These programs help individuals to achieve their full potential and to successfully integrate into their communities. Collectively, we hope to impart a sense of empowerment, belonging and self-worth to all participants.
