Class sessions consist of one-week lesson blocks (5 consecutive classes run Mon-Fri). Two youth sailing sessions are conducted each week. The early session is from 9:00 to 10:30 and the second session is from 11:00 to 12:30. The classes are on the water but maybe conducted dockside in inclement weather.
The class is open to youths six years old and up.
The classes rendezvous at 8:50 for the early class and 10:50 for the later class at the Sail Cape Cod shed behind the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 135 South St, Hyannis
Cost is $250 per week
We teach on 18 ft knockabout sailboats. The knockabout is a stable yet responsive boat.
While the boat is stable you can still get splashed so dress accordingly.
We provide life jackets.
This program is for students who are both new to sailing and those who have some sailing experience. The goals of this class are to have fun on the water and to learn and build upon the basics of sailing. Students in this class will have the opportunity to sail with a small group under the direction of one of our instructors. All our instructors have significant sailing and racing experience at the high school and college level. There will be a safety boat nearby during lessons.
Location: 135 South St, Hyannis, MA 02601 – behind the Cape Cod Maritime Museum on the docks at Gateway Marina.
There is no parking available onsite, however there are a number of free and paid parking lots on and around Main Street.
When: We will meet at the docks every day at the time of your lesson (9:00 or 11:00am), and will finish the lesson each day about two hours after departure. Please arrive promptly as the boat will leave the dock at the start of the lesson.

Scholarship Application Requirements: Each student applying for a scholarship must submit an application accompanied by an essay from the student explaining why he/she wants to learn to sail or to continue receiving sailing instruction.
